The University of Padua Department of Sociology, Pedagogy and Applied Psychology organized the IQLA-GIAT Summer School in Quantitative Analysis of Textual Data this September. The summer school focused on current methods of quantitative text analysis and text-based applications of artificial intelligence.
At the invitation of the main organizer, Arjuna Tuzzi, Gábor Palkó, head of the DH Lab, participated as a lecturer. He delivered two 90-minute courses to an international audience of eighteen PhD students and researchers.
During the summer school, further professional discussions also took place, including the possibility of a joint publication with colleagues from the organizing department. Based on the experience, the prepared teaching material could even serve as the foundation for a full semester-long university course.
